International Workshop on Pyrotechnic Combustion Mechanisms

Last Update: 6th April 2008

The WPC has been founded in 2004 to provide a forum for scientists and engineers working in the field of pyrotechnics to exchange ideas on pyrotechnic combustion reactions. There are annual workshops held in either Europe or USA most adjacent to the annual pyrotechnics seminar of the International Pyrotechnics Society.

Upcoming 6th Workshop on Pyrotechnic Combustion Mechanisms

This workshop will take place on the 12th July 2008 in Fort Collins Colorado, USA.

The workshop will start on Saturday July 12 at 9:00 and end in the afternoon around 5 pm.

The tentative program will include presentations given by:

  • Beat Berger, Armasuisse, Sensitivity of Nanoenergetics
  • Karl O Christe UCLA on Recent Progress in High-Oxygen Carriers of Interest as Green Replacements for AP and Hydrazine
  • Alex Gash, LLNL, Sensitivity of Nanoenergetics
  • Tom M. Klapoetke LMU on New Insensitive Energetic Materials
  • Bertrand Roduit AKTS on Prediction of FCO SCO Behaviour of Energetic Materials
  • Shanti Subramanian VESTA Ceramics, Sensitivity of Silicon based Energtics Materials
